The Street Art Festival (SAF) comes for the 3rd Year in Thessaloniki
On the 15th and 16th of June, the Street Art Festival (SAF), the biggest in Thessaloniki, and one of the biggest in the Balkan region will take place, bringing together more than 200 artists.
SAF will be held in the space of TIF HELEXPO SA, the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Centre, from 12pm onwards for both days. The festival covers several sub-sectors of art, including music, dance, graffiti, animation, arts and performance from all over the world.
The schedule of the SAF festival entails a series of live events:
- 24 hours live music, with big names taking the stage both Greek and foreign; some of these names are Mpelafon ft. Thel ft. Raf, Active member, who have built a long career in the Greek music scene, the American legends of Hip Hop Sick Jacken (Psycho Realm), Slaine (La Coka Nostra), Danny Diablo (Skarhead) and the hip hop funkers Herbaliser Ful Band.
- live graffiti street art on a surface of over 100 meters long, by more than 50 renowned graffiti and street artists.
- workshops for the lovers of comics, animation, skating, inline, BMX, Beatmaking, and DJ Scratching. The Beatmaking seminar will teach basic 'razor' productions, synthesis techniques and how to use equipment. The DJ Scratching Workshop will involve cuts, mix, technics, new ways and styles.
- art exhibition: an exhibition organized by more than 40 artists exhibiting their work in an indoors area.
- seminars of voguing, waacking, new style, hip hop, dancehall from Greece and abroad by prominent dance teachers while dance groups will present their awarded choreographies in live dance shows.
- presentation of the innovative ‘3D pen’, the three-dimensional printer, and its creations.
