Garlic Potato Recipe
Give your taste buds a treat with this Greek baked garlic potato recipe. It makes a lovely warming dish in the winter, as well as being an excellent accomplament with salads in the summer too. Garlic potatoes are a great choice all year round.
Ingredients:
ground pepper
dried thyme
salt
dried oregano
olive oil
1.5kg medium-large potatoes
5 garlic cloves
3 lemons, juiced
Method:
1. First, pre-heat the oven to 180'c, as the potatoes are going to be baked in the oven
2. Prepare the potatoes, by peeling and washing them. After peeling the potatoes, cut them in to small bitesized chunks and then arrange in a baking tin.
3. Once the potatoes have been arranged in the baking tin, cover the potatoes with a reasonable layer of olive oil, then add the lemon juice, salt, pepper, 3 tbsps oregano, garlic and a pinch of thyme and mix together.
4. Put the baking tray in the oven for approx. 20 minutes or until they are cooked properly and golden brown.
5. Serve them hot and fresh or cold if you prefer.
