You must view the spectacular sunset at the Oia castle, which just happens to be the most famous on the island.   • Tour Akrotiri There really isn’t anything quite like Akrotiri. A visit here is like taking a journey in time.   • Visit the Museums in Santorini While at Santorini, be sure to also visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thera, as well as the Archaeological Museum, to take you into the rich, long history of the Island. At the Museum of Prehistoric Thera you can browse through the important artifacts discovered during the excavations at Akrotiri. These include impressive bronze pottery items, plaster furniture moldings and the unique golden wild goat statuette. The Archaeological Museum on the other hand exhibits collections of inscriptions and sculpture from the archaic period to the Roman times.
  • Explore Emporio Village Located in the heart of the island is the village of Emporio, where you can stroll through the streets of one of the best-preserved castle cities in Santorini. Here you can admire the tall church steeples and take amazing photographs. Also visit the Panagia Mesiani church, which is dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. This is the island’s second most important church which also houses a beautiful wooden temple.
  • Taste Santorini Cuisine Arguably the most gastronomic island in the Aegean, Santorini has a wide range of exceptional food products and restaurants that add another dimension to Greek cuisine.
